Inboxes reward short asks
The Email Optimizer on this site scores tone and structure. This page is narrower: subject clipping and body word count. Those two numbers decide whether someone opens the mail and whether they reach the question before scrolling.
Fifty to 125 words is not a law. It is the range where a single ask usually fits: context, the request, a deadline. Past 125, put the ask in sentence one or the rest is wallpaper.
Questions in the body
More than two question marks often means you sent a survey, not an email. Split them or number them so a reply can match 1 / 2 / 3.
