Wi‑Fi QR code

Phones can join a network from a QR code that encodes WIFI:T:WPA;S:network;P:password;; — no app store required on modern iOS and Android.

What to encode

Open the QR Code Generator and paste a WIFI payload such as WIFI:T:WPA;S:YourNetwork;P:YourPassword;; — T is the type (WPA or WEP), S is the SSID, P is the password. Double-check SSID spelling, including spaces. Guest networks with a rotating password need a new QR when the password changes.

Print size

Do not shrink the code into a stamp-sized corner. Quiet space around the square matters. Test with a second phone before you tape it to the wall.
