A pattern lens, not a lie detector
“AI detector” products sell certainty they cannot deliver. This tool is honest about that. It scores how machine-like the rhythm is: burstiness (how much sentence length jumps around), type-token ratio (unique words vs total words), overused transitions, and cloned phrases.
If you used a model as a first draft, a high uniformity score is a cue to add specifics, vary sentence length, and delete the throat-clearing. If a student pasted work, treat a high score as a conversation starter, not evidence for a misconduct case.
What the numbers are
Burstiness near 0 means every sentence is the same length. Type-token ratio below ~0.4 on a medium paragraph often means the same words keep cycling. Neither metric knows your facts. They only describe the texture of the prose.
